Your agentDownsizing done with patience, not pressure.
I've spent more than 45 years helping Houston-area families move out of homes that have gotten too big, into ones that fit the life they want next. No rush, no jargon — just a steady hand through every step, from paperwork to packing day.
I began my real estate journey when I was 18 years old. My dad was a custom home builder, and one day he needed me to hold an open house at one of his properties. As he headed out the door, he turned to me and left me with words I've never forgotten:
“Whoever comes through that door, you treat them like they're worth a million dollars — no matter what they're wearing or what they're driving.”
This lesson has shaped the way I've treated every person I've met in the last 45 years.
That day, a gentleman pulled up in an old pickup truck that leaned to one side. When he shut off the engine, it gave a couple of loud pops and a puff of black smoke drifted out the back. He climbed out wearing a pair of overalls — a big man who made his way slowly up to the front door.
I opened the door, introduced myself, welcomed him in, and gave him a full tour of the home, answering every question he had. As he was leaving, he turned to me and said I'd been the only person all day who had treated him with kindness and respect.
Then he said something I'll never forget: “Have your dad call me — I'm buying this house, and I'm paying cash.”
Why I do this
That was more than 45 years ago, and I've carried my dad's words with me every single day since. I've been through the good times and the tough times in this business, and I can tell you there's no work more rewarding than helping people navigate decisions on what is often their biggest asset.
Buying or selling a home comes with all kinds of obstacles — and there's nothing I love more than guiding and informing good people through the journey of buying or selling a home, treating every single one like they're worth a million dollars.
45+ years of steady, patient help.
